The Inverted Arcadia

Arcadia may signify an organic place of respite, safety, and refuge from the seemingly unthinking bustle of the industrial world - but to invert it - to understand Arcadia for what it really is (as the woods nearby have taught me) - is to see its totality as a bearer of Truth (even as it is felled, or falls, or swoops low), a reflection of all that has been hidden or obscured, a place meant only for those whose continuously waning strength can trespass and know how the trees, their roots, the animals, in all their teetering fragility, come together in communion with all that has been lost, knowing their home can always and only be found deep within its passages, however treacherous, however fallen, however needlessly bent or fractured.
